COMPLETE Boycott Israel Walkabout

Assalammualaikum.
Yesterday i went for a boycott Israel campaign organised by COMPLETE Malaysia.
I paid RM10 for my boycott Israel tshirt (because i took a long one) while my brother got his for free because i used my stdnt card to get his. Student get a free tshirt each.

The campaign was held at Menara DBKL, Jln Raja Laut.
The event started off with tshirt distribution to participants and at 10am, a press conference started.
The tshirt was written "Boycott Israel" and the logo of the 4 companies being boycotted were on it too. The 4 companies are: McDonald, Nestle, Loreal and Coca Cola.

Various speakers were invited to give their speech and a Palestinian young man, Mohammed Moussa Al-Hajj from the Rashideya refugee campin Lebanon also gave a speech. He was one of the millions ppl suffering from the atrucity by the Israelis.
He lost both of his legs and was brought to Malaysia by Malaysia Relief Agency to undergo a surgery to give him a new pair of legs. He spoke in Arabic (i guess) and there was a translator beside him on the stage. He told abt how he lost his legs, and he thanked Malaysians for the support for him. All this while i have been writing abt Palestinians but i've yet to see a real suffering Palestinian in front of me. Though i saw Dr Azzam And Dr Muhsen Soleh during the PWTC Convention but as both of them looked very well kempt and (rich i suppose?), it didnt give me the same feeling i had when i saw Mohammed Moussa (i'm not saying Mohammed Moussa looked very unkempt, no no no that's not what i meant).
He is a living proof of the occupation, standing before me.

Mohammed Moussa and his translator

One of the speakers was KK Tan, a journalist from The Sun and a writer (i didnt know abt him at all until yesterday). And one speaker that caught my attention was Louisa Chong! She started her speech with an "Assalammualaikum" and greeted in English and Mandarin. She was very passionate, speaking like debater, fighting passionately for justice to be given to the Palestinians. When i first saw her sitting on the VIP seat, i thought she was just an invited celebrity to make the cmpaign more lively. Never did i expect that she's gonna be very firm and fierce on the stage, condemning what the Israelis are doing and hv been doing to the Palestinians. She insisted that as human being, we shd never do what the Israelis are doing to another human being (indirectly she's saying that the Zionists are inhumane, for those who hvnt notice that). So, a big round of applause to Louisa Chong for proving that she's not merely a celebrity who only knows how to act and get famous!

Louisa Chong in action!

Mr KK Tan

Signing the banner session

Before the invited guests deliver their speech, there was a video screening session.
One of the videos showed were very heart-wrenching. I dont have the video but these are some of the content of the video (in words).

A man was interviewed in the video and he said during the Cast Lead early this year, an Israeli tanker stopped abt 50m from his hse. So his whole family; mother, wife and children got out of the hse, waving a white flag. There were two soldiers standing in front of the tanker; one was eating chocolate and another was eating (sorry i cant remember what). So they stayed there, not moving because the soldiers did not ask them to come forward or to go back into their house. He was surprised when suddenly a third soldier came out of the tank and aimed an M-16 to one of his children. M-16 to a child??? In a fraction of a second, he saw his 2 year old daughter lying on the floor with her stomach bursted out. She was holding a stuffed teddy bear and the bullet went thru the toy and his daughter. He showed the bloody teddy bear in the video.

Free Gaza Movement, an organisation formed in 2006 has been trying to send humanity aid to the ppl in Gaza by boats as governments failed to act. But their boats have been capsized by the Israeli soldiers and was attacked and abducted. I didnt know there is such a news, why arent Malaysian media publicising these kind of news like they publicised the divorce of celebrities? Why arent they publicising these kind of news like they publicise the dirty politics in Malaysia?? Huwaida Arraf, the chairperson of Free Gaza movement is one lady i just got to know abt yesterday. And she's very good. When attacked by the Israeli army boats, she emphasised "You are threatening to attack unarmed civilians". In the video, the Israeli army were very fierce and inhuman! How could they stop a boat carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza? Who in the world gave them such an authority?

After the press conference, participants were given a bungkus of nasi lemak and we set off to our destinations. The destinations were KLCC, KL Sentral, MidValley Megamall, Bangsar, One Utama, The Curve, Cineleisure and IKANO Power Centre.
The first four destinations were for students as these places are reachable by public transport while the other 4 were for families.

Before continuing to tell what happened during the walkabout, i think i shd tell abt the participants first.
UTAR sent the most student, 78 ppl! So congrats to UTAR! Their presence certainly rocked the campaign. Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS) sent abt 40 ppl.
Other universities include USIM and UM. There were only 4 ppl in my group; me, my brother, Diana ex-INTEC and Eka frm INTEC. All 4 of us are from different institutions so we cant represent any school. The UTARians are to go to KLCC, i forgot where CUCMS and USIM were supposed to go but UM stdnts were supposed to go to MidValley. Since i went for Air Mata Gaza campaign in UM, i decided to join the stdnts frm UM. And off we go to MidValley by KTM. We were given money to buy the tickets.

In the KTM, we grabbed the passengers' attention. Well of course, a group of nearly 40 students wearing the same tshirts with a very big Boycott Israel logo on the shirt, who wont be curious?
And when we reached Midvalley, we headed to the Lower Ground floor where all the fastfood restaurants are (including McD). We were instructed by our leader not to do anything weird, just pretend like nothing happened and walk in group. Then we decided to go into Carrefour and this is when the fun (or was it heat?) started. The guards at the entrance were shocked seeing us and panicked as no bags are supposed to be brought in but almost all of us brought bags. And they did not have enough hands to tie all the bags so they let us in. And they let us in grudgingly. A security came (he wasnt wearing a uniform but he looked as if he has power so i guess he's the supervisor of the guards) and he held his walkie talkie tightly in his hand as if the walkie talkie can fly out if he hold it loosely. I asked my brother to stand in front of a Nescafe booth and snapped his picture. He came out of nowehere and scolded me. He said "I TOLD U NO CAMERA IS ALLOWED!! NO CAMERA!! WHERE IS YOUR LEADER?? I WANT TO SEE YOUR LEADER!!" I was surprised and said i didnt know that he said no camera is allowed, i really2 didnt know. And i didnt want the leader to be in trouble because of me so i quickly apologised and kept my camera in my bag. I managed to snap only one pic. Haha!

All 4 of us at Bank Negara KTM Station

From left: Eka, my bro and Diana in the KTM. (I'm telling the names in case u dont know which one is Eka, which one is Diana) =P

In MidValley. See the McD in background? Haha

The only pic i get to snap before the freaked out guard scolded me.

And then, holding his walkie talkie he gave a msg to his colleague "Control, control!"
I laughed quietly. It's not like we are holding an M-16 or even a banner or a pamphlete. We were just walking into Carrefour in peace. I repeat, in peace. We didnt even make noise. They made the noise. It's as if we are the demonstrators and they are the ISA ppl.

But we continued walking and they followed us. I think there are 3 of them. At one point in the store, we split into few groups walking everywhere. They became more panicked as they couldnt be following all of us around. The shoppers started looking at us and stopped doing what they were doing. I felt proud =P.

When we almost reach the exit, the same man came and asked to see our leader. He brought another man with him, who i guess is the Store Manager. As Kak Jannah, our leader approached them, we made a smaller circle around them to hear what they told her. And i had a "back-our-leader-up" instinct. But what they told her is unintelligible. But my brother said that the manager told Kak Jannah that they are not trying to chase us out, but they DO NOT want us to be here. Well, what's that supposed to mean? And they asked for a letter approving what we were doing.
Not wanting to spark any fight or lead to any trouble, Kak Jannah brought us out of Carrefour. We split in front of Carrefour and we were instructed to walk around MidValley and make ourselves visible. The UM students are to gather at 1.45pm but since me and friends are not going back to UM, we decided to say goodbye for good and we walked on our own.

Yesterday was also a surprising day for me.
At MidValley I met one of ex-INTECians. I've nvr talked to him but only saw him few times in the library. He looked surprised seeing me in the huge group.
After MidValley i went to Sogo to pray and had our post-lunch pre-tea and i met Ain, my roommate in the surau.
Upon walking out of Sogo on my way to the lrt station, i met my IMU senior.
It's kinda surprising to accidentally meet a lot of ppl in one day.
KL is not so big it seems.

Not A Long Day

Assalammualaikum.
I'm not going to write up to 2000 words today, most probably not.
But still, i'm gonna write!

Clinical Skills Unit (CSU) a.k.a Skills Centre

Today is my second session in the CSU.
And today is my first experience with a needle and syringe!
Not that i've nvr seen any syringe in my life, that is impossible given all the immunisation and vaccinations government made compulsory on us.
But today is my first time using a syringe, with a needle and poke into somebody!
Well, not "somebody" but rather "something".
I poked it into a cushion-made model.
We learnt how to give an intramuscular injection today. I learnt how to locate the upper outer qudrant of the buttock muscle and poke the needle into that part.
It's kinda exciting! As i was holding the needle, i imagined a lot of things.
What if i suddenly poke this needle into my friend's arm?
What if i joked around with this needle? Will the sisters scream at me and throw me out?
Hahaha..
Nasty imaginations..
I also learnt how to wash my hands PROPERLY.
The sister said we must make it our obsession to ALWAYS wash our hands.
And man, the procedures to wash hand PROPERLY is very tideous.
A lot of water is wasted.
And it takes a very looong time.
But this doesnt mean i wont practice it, i will.

New word - "per se"

Recently i've met the word "per se" a lot of times.
And i didnt know what does it mean.
It's just like "in vivo" or "et al".
These words are like aliens to me but it sounded nice. And a lot of ppl is using it.
So now, i noe what "per se" means Per se = On its own.
Cool.

Campus life

Television always potray the environment in education institutionas a multi-class environment.
I mean, in schools, or in universities, there will always be a famous gang, a not-so-famous gang, and a very-not-famous gang.
Usually this type of environment is succesfully shown in western movies.
Remember Troy and Gabriell's gang in HSM?
They are the famous group.

Remember "The Sidekick" groups in Sky High movie?
They are the not-famous group.

Or remember the gang Landon Carter is in in the movie A Walk to Remember and Jamie Sullivan in the same movie? Carter is the famous one while Jamie is the very not famous one.

So i grew up thinking that these classes exist everywhere.
During my high school, i am blessed with good friends that i did not feel like i'm in the not-famous group.
During my A Level, the class was small and so the "class system" wasnt obvious.
And so, as i embraced campus life, i expect to see the "class system".
And at first i thought i saw it.
There are a lot of groups in my batch now. Everybody seem to have their own clique that they always hang out with.
And sometimes i think those ppl in these differenr cliques are very cocky.
And they always look down on other ppl.
But now, I find out that that is not the case.
I realised that when i imagined their faces and the friends they are always with, and ppl from other cliques, i cant decide which one is more famous.
Everybody seemed to be equally famous, or equally not-famous.
So, it is a healthy environment.
There is no more popular or less popular person in the batch (well, there is but it's not so obvious. Everybody are friends with everybody).

Standard 1

Talking abt famous and not-famous, i remembered my first day as a Standard 1 student, which was abt let see, 12 years back? Not so long ago...
It was the registration day, i was as usual, blurr.
I sat quietly at my desk.
Then 2 girls came into the classroom, they were eating Cloud 9 (i really still remember that).
And they looked like good friends.
And they looked as if they have been in the school for a very long time and that was my first time being in that school.
So i timidly, went to their desk and ask "Akak, akak beli cloud 9 ni kat mane?"
Hahaha...
I called them "akak"! Which literally means elder sister.
Well, i dont know why but i really felt small at that time, i had no idea they are the same age as me.
That's the only incident i remembered during my first day in Std 1 and the 2 girls became my best friends. I lost contact with them when i moved into a new school in Std 2.

One more incident that occured during my Std 1 was when i asked to go to the toilet.
I asked the teacher if i can go to the toilet and she told me to go ahead.
But i stood in front of her, immobilised myself successfully.
So she asked why, and i said i dont know where the toilet is.
And i asked if she can show me the toilet. And lucky me, she did.
She walked out the classroom with me and showed me the toilet.
There were 2 doors next to each other.
One was labelled "L" and the other was "P".
She instructed me to go into the "P" toilet. And she emphasised, "Do not ever go into the L toilet". And so, being a very obedient 7 year old little girl, i followed her instruction.
But since then, everytime i was in front of the "P" door, i'll look at the "L" door.
And wondered, "Why cant i go into that one? What's the difference?"
Funny enough, i nvr asked that Q to anybody.
Perhaps everytime i leave the toilet i forgot abt the confusion and i only remember it when i'm in front of the toilet.
And i did not figure the L P out until i moved out of that school.
Then only i know that L stands for "Lelaki" (which means Gents) and P stands for "Perempuan" (which means Girls).
Hahaha..
Luckily i wasnt curious enough to explore the "L" door and see why i cant go in there.

Freak vs Health Conscious

Ok, one cool Q.
What are the differences between these 3 pics?
Wow.. A lot!
Yes, ok... What's the difference btw ppl's perspective to the person in the picture?

Will it be true if i say somebody who wear like the pic in the left might be considered a freak while the one on the right is health conscious?
Why is it different?
All of them CHOSE to wear it (a veil @ mask).
But why different assumption from the public?

Everything Goes Well

Alhamdulillah, praise to the Almighty God.
Today is quite a fine day for me.

On my way to IMU i did not come across any reckless, selfish
driver like i did yesterday. Or perhaps my mood was just to good to notice them.
And I reached IMU safely.
I sat in the library, studying Immunology.
And then my friend told another friend of his who was at the same table abt a PhD student who sent a one page of A4 paper thesis.
He took Mathematics and his thesis was simply proving a Mathematics theory to be correct.
He ended his thesis with "theory proven" and he managed to get a PhD for that.
And that made me think

"Isn't it simpler to study Math?"

I have always loved Maths since school and Maths is more straight forward than Medicine; or well, i think so. Maths has a clear objective, a clear target.
What Mathematicians shd be working on is the pathway, the road to reach the target.
And the pathways are all logic, and sensible.
An insensible Mathematical equation can never exist. Everything must be proven
But Medicine is very subjective.
There are a lot of things to memorise.
There are a lot of exceptions. And the pathways cannot be deduced, it has to be memorised.
Different pathway for every reaction. (I was revising my Immunology and i cant believe there are just so many cells involved in our immune response and each of every cell is activated by other mediators and those mediators are produced by other cells which is activated when there's a trigger and the cycle goes on and on and on)

During my A Level years, I always have problem memorising the differentiation short cut formula. Lecturer asked us to memorise it so that we can solve the problem faster but i never did.
Every differentiation Q i got, i'll do differentiation from the very first step until i get the answer and yes, it took a longer time but i gained satisfaction.
I know how the formula is deduced but i nvr took the trouble to memorise it.
But the pathways in medicine, it's just different.

And so i asked myself grudgingly,

"Why did i choose Medicine in the first place?
Why was Mathematics never in my options?"

Then i realised, because doctors are famous.
I knew since small that doctor = career.
And i've nvr met any Mathematicians except for Math school teachers.
And i've nvr wanted to be a school teacher.
So i did not see the potential in being a Mathematician ( i know now).
And that's why Math was never my choice although I love Maths so much.

I'm not regretting my decision to take Medicine, of course!
Just some thought that came into my mind early in the morning.
But hey, i can do a lot by being a doctor!
InsyaAllah..

Yesterday i talked abt my fellow batchmates arriving to the class later, and their arrival stirred the peaceful environment of the class, making the class noisier than it should be.
But today, my lecturer became smarter.
She came 15 minutes later than she's supposed to.
So, by the time she put her pendrive into the computer, the students kept quiet, lay their back on the seats and was ready for a lecture.
And so the lecture started smoothly.

There was also something that brighten my day during her lecture today. She mentioned that we sweat awful lot and her sentence was...

"God made us sweat...."

That sentence made me respect her more.
Because she showed to the whole audi that she believes in God.
Although her definition of God is most probably different than mine but still, she did not say

"We evolved to be able sweat so that...".

And the difference between the 2 sentences make a HUGE difference.
The second sentence denied the existence of God the Creator.
And i talked abt the influence of a teacher in my previous post and this type of influence is exactly what i meant.
Telling indirectly to the whole class that WE HAVE A GOD.
WE DID NOT EVOLVE FROM A SINGLE CELL FROM THE PROTEINS FROM THE EARTH CRUST.

There is a problem with this new layout of my blog though.
If i embed the comment form under this post, and enabled word verification (means my commenter need to verify the word they see on the screen before they can comment on this post), the word to verify won't be able to be seen.
In other words, it's defective.
I can disable the word verfication but embedding the comment form under the post also means there wont be any link for commenters to get notification of the subsequent comments.
Means, readers cannot subscribe to the comments for the post.
Which i find disturbing.
If i chose so that the comment form will open up in a new window, sometimes the link to post the comment is not there, the page needed to be refreshed and clicked on again (i dont know why that happens).
Any way, my readers will still find it difficult.
And i dont have time to mess with the codings again to get it to function correctly.
Whatever it is, if u're having problems in posting a comment, do let me know and i'll try to fix it.
=)

After all the good things that happen, I still receive a bad news today.
I received it when i reached home.
Atikah could not come to my house for this weekend!
Huhuhuhu!!
But of course, i know she has her own reasons.
She's still in blurr mode, A Level result coming out next week, so she cant bring herself to enjoy a week before the result is out. I still remembered the days before my result was announced. It was kinda frustrating and I was feeling insecure.
And also, she lost her handphone during the kenduri!
Kesiannye.. So she cant travel from Seremban to KL without a hp.
I understand all the reasons she told me but, as a normal human being, i'm still frustrated and saddened.

Just Another Day

Assalammualaikum.
I feel like writing a lot today so, just bear with me...
Continue reading if u have a lot of time, if not, come back later when u're free k!
=P

While I was Driving
I started my morning like usual, waking up for Subuh, online a while before getting ready to go to IMU.
I was stucked in the jam but as i was early for my class, i wasnt in a rush so my mood wasnt spoiled by the jam.
But my mood was spoiled by other reckless, selfish drivers.

Jeez! They simply cut queue and pretend innocent...
I was queuing up and suddenly a van overtook me from the left and cut the Q.
How dare he.. That's so unfair.
And that's not the 1st time i come across drivers like this, there are A LOT of them.
Dont they know that the road is shared by a lot other drivers?
Sometimes i memorised all the plat nos of the selfish drivers and many times i thought of publishing their plat nos in this blog but i did not.
I am not angry to the extent to tell the whole world who these ppl really are.
It's just that i hope drivers out there, PLS DO NOT SIMPLY CUT THE QUEUE.
Other ppl hv been queuing up for a longer time. Sometimes their irresponsible act results in the car behind them missing the green light.
And that's very unfair..
The car which cut the Q actually owes A LOT to the car(s) that missed the green light because of what he did.
This is not a game where the best car wins, it's all abt respecting other ppl and taking care of the road safety.

A Riddle

While i was driving too, i received an sms from my uncle (not the lawyer uncle).
The msg was:-

"Use 2 digits only to give the largets number... Salam"

Huh? So I asked back if this is a riddle but he said "No, it's math"
I tried a lot of answers: 99, 9 to the power of 9, 9 exp 9, 00 and so on..
But none of it is right.
My whole morning was tickled with the maths riddle.
Given a riddle from my smart uncle, and if i cant answer it, i'll be ashamed of myself.
I spent every free time i have to figure it out.
Even asked my batchmates and they asked their friends and their friends asked their friends.
By the end of the lecture i think half of the auditorium know the riddle but none come up with an answer yet.
So my dear brilliant readers, u think u hv the answer for the riddle?
I managed to answer it after lunch.
What a relieve!

During Lecture

I can say i was a bit stressed up during the 2 hrs lecture because of my divided attention.
I cant forget the riddle but at the same time i need to focus on the lecture.
And one thing i really dislike abt studying in auditorium is the does-not-care attitude displayed by the students.
There are a lot of students who came in late for the lecture.
If it's only one or two, it's still acceptable but at one point, abt 5 minutes after the lecturer started talking, 10-20 students will rush into the auditorium, making sound with each of their step, walking to their seats, sit down, open their bag, find their lecture notes, and then settled down.

Some of them were even talking while walking!
And the lecturer continued with her teaching because there are not enough time to waste.
It's really a disturbed environment, every morning.
During my A Level years, we studied in a classroom.
Students do not dare to come in late because if they do, they'll have to make a "grand entrance" and it's embarassing! And some lecturers will ask the stdnt on why is he late. But in an auditorium, the situation is just different.

Skills Centre

One thing that have been disturbing my mind these 2 weeks is my Skills Centre session this Friday. All stdnts in IMU will have that session every fortnight and we were supposed to sharpen our skills in interacting with patients, doing physical examinations etc etc. Basically it's the practical bit of the medicine course.
But my session last 2 weeks was not pleasant.
The lecturer was very fierce, emphasising that he is a blacksmith.
And he's gonna fry us, shape us, put us on fire, do everything he could to mould us into a good, sharp, responsible warrior sword (he meant doctors).
And he talked abt various types of fever.
Fever with acute onset, fever with fluctuating temperature, fever when the temperature fluctuates in days, in hours. And all these fever brings different meaning.
Each type of fever is associated with different diseases.
But i just couldnt find any further info on what he said.
I managed to scribble some of the sentences he mentioned but, to me that alone is not enough.
And this week, i'm afraid he'll ask me and my group member similar Qs.
Or perhaps he'll just ask what he unofficially taught us last 2 weeks.
And i havent even revise that!

Passion

Today I talked with one of my PBL group member, Tay.
I just got to know that he has a very burning passion for photography.
He showed me various pictures from the photography magazine he had in hand.
And he explained the meaning of each picture to me, with an unbeatable amazed tone.
Although the conversation did not increase my passion towards photography at all but it made me think, ppl can be very passionate in something in his life.
And sometimes, this passion seems just illogic to some other ppl.
Another friend of mine asked why am i so passionate in this Palestinian issue.
My reply was
"because they had been done injustice. And we shdn't be keeping ourself silent."

Well, perhasp he wasnt convinced with my answer but still, it's my passion.
Nobosy can do anything abt it.

Car Wash

On my way back home, i dropped by a petrol station to wash my car.
And one of the worker (looks like an Indian) took my car key.
I dropped my remote battery in the car once, and i havent find it since then. So i wanted to warn the worker that if they saw the battery, do not suck it into their vacuum machine. I need it back.
So the conversation goes:

Me: Saya ada battery dlm kereta, nanti jangan vakum ye...
Worker:
Ha....? Ok ok... (But with a very inconvincing facial expression)
Me:
Awak tau cakap bahasa melayu x?
Worker:
Kakak? Kakak?

Sweat...! He's not local. No wonder he doesnt understand me.
After some signal language, he pointed to his colleague.
So i asked the same Q, "Awk tau ckp melayu x?"
Then the man pointed to another friend. Haiz...
There was a chinese man waiting for his car to be vacuumed. And he laughed seeing me trying to communicate with the workers.
So i asked the third man the same Q;

Me: Awk tau ckp bhs melayu x?
Him: Tau tau...

At last, Malaysian!
So, he said ok after i explained abt my battery and he gave me a convincing face.
But at the end, i still cant find the battery.
Either they sucked it in or they did not vacuum the car thoroughly.
Haha..

Radio Antenna

I need to bring all readers to a few months back scene.
I parked my car under a tree, a short one.
And while i was driving out of the parking, reversing my car, suddenly i felt my car being heavier.
As if something is stopping my car from moving, and the force came from the roof.
I felt weird but i continued pressing the pedal and moved my car out of the parking space.
At that time i was in Shah Alam sect 18, in front of Giant.
Abt 50mins later, I reached home and as i walked out of my car i saw a disaster.
My radio antenna was lying flat on my roof!
It broke..! But there was still some attachment but, it cant function anymore.
And it was very hideous.
So I decided to rip it apart and i was left with a very short 1/10 antenna on my roof.
And then my bro came, he unscrewed the whole antenna and my car roof was naked.
And it remained naked for months.
I then stopped listening to the radio.
But that wasnt a problem because i had the device which i can plug into the socket in the car, and put my pendrive in so that i can listen to the songs in my pendrive.
And i survived with that device until few days back.

Few days back, the device (i forgot what is it called) lost its function.
Cant be used anymore.
So i need to revert back to radio to get the least bit of entertainment every journey i took.
And it was making me fed up to listen to songs half here half there. Know what i mean?
I mean, the transmission is very bad because there is no antenna! So sometimes i can hear the songs, sometimes nothing intelligible.
So after washing car, i went to a car accessories shop in the nearest town.
And i was "Ohh.. So this is where those guys bought powerful speakers, sophisticated accessories, and modify their cars"
I was alone in the shop, well of course i was a bit scared but hey, it's not dark outside. I can still scream if something were to happen, Allah forbid.
So i met the salesman and he showed me two antennas.
One long and one short.
The short one was RM 78. Way out of my budget.
I thought it will cost less than RM20.
Then seeing my horror-strucked face, the man reduced the price.
He said he can sell it to me for RM55. Again, another salesman slashing off price like what EMO Bookstore did.
But it's still beyond my budget.
So i asked the price of the long one.
It was labelled RM38 and the cheapest the man wanna go is RM35.
I pleaded for M20 but he wont give in. I didnt bring enough money, I was not even sure if i have RM30 in my purse.
Then i asked RM10 reduction, from RM38 to RM28 and at last he gave in.
He put it on my car for me and when i was supposed to pay, i realised i have only RM17 in purse!
Then i remembered a RM10 note i slipped somewhere in my purse for emergency. Well, this is an emergency and i managed to find the RM10 note.
And i told the man i have only RM27. And i showed him my empty purse.
He laughed and said "ok-lah".
Lucky me...
So i went back home, my car washed, with a new radio cord and an absolutely empty purse.
Hahaha...

For the past few days

For the past few days since i came back from Atikah's hse, i hv been humming the Fire Burning song from Sean Kingston.

Somebody call 911
Shawty fire burning on the dance floor
Whoao

And this is all because of Harith, Atikah's cute nephew.
Hahaha.. He liked that song so much (perhaps it's his uncles and aunts that teach him to like it) that the song is always played in the house.
And it sticked in my mind till now.
But only those 3 sentences.
I dont know how to sing the rest.

I did a word count for this post. Up to the sentence before this, there are 1, 944 words!
Almost reached 2000!
And i took approximately an hour to compose this post.
Today i really feel like telling a lot of stories so, this is it.
Hope ur eyes are not tired yet.

Not Unexpected...

Assalammualaikum.

This morning my uncle came to my house from Kuantan with his wife and children.
Actually they reached in the middle of last night but they slept in the car in front of my gate; my uncle did not want to wake us up. Pity them...
Should have just woke us up, it's not so hard to unlock the gate and let them in. Haiz..
It's been quite a long time since i met my little cousins so my morning was filled their laughters...
My uncle's coming for his convocation in UM. He's now a "Master of Law" or at least, that's what my mother called him. Haha..

I cant go to his convocation because I have class until 1245 and my mum wants me to study after 3 days of holiday. Huhuhu...
And tonight's plan of going out for dinner with his family is still pending because my 2nd uncle is not available.

This morning i had a lecture on "Infections and Disease".
One point that captured my attention before the lecturer started her class was our immune system.
She asked,

"What do our bodies do when bacteria infect us? Do they sit still and say oh yes, come on in or do the cells in our body stand up and fight the infection?"

Well, most students did not answer the Q because it is quite a silly one.
I answered quietly though, we fight back..
Then i realised, that is exactly what the Palestinians have been doing, fighting back.
Fighting back against the oppression by the Israeli.
Fighting back so that they wont lose their posessions, their dignity and lives to the Israeli.
And yet some ppl label them as terrorist.

If everybody can understand and accept the fact that our immune system is actually doing us a noble favour by fighting back all the microorganisms that invade us, why cant everybody accept and understand the fact that the Palestinians are fighting back the Israeli that invaded them?

When our immune system failed us, we fall sick.
We come down with various diseases.
And if the Palestinan failed, only Allah knows.

I am now in IMU library, fighting to not fall asleep. =P
That's why i decided to write something in my blog to freshen my mind.
After this i need to get back to study... *sad intonation*

Wait, what has this post got anything to do with the title; Not Unexpected ?
Honestly, it has nothing to do at all.
I just dont know what to put as the title.
Eheh..

Ok that's all.

p/s: Atikah, i hope u'll find ur hp soon! It's very hard to contact u nowadays... Rasa segan plk asyik dok call rmh kau je... =P
And if u dont reply this, i'll know that u did not read my blog..
Hahaha...

Cheerio!

Cooking

Oh yes.. Cooking..
My mum asked me to learn how to cook local food.
I'm supposed to help my maid cook every weekend so that by the time i shd go further my study outside Malaysia, i'll know how to cook local food.

She said if during my study oversea, the Malaysian student body decided to hold a "Malaysian Week", or any of my future foreigner batchmates ask what can i cook, my answer will be spaghetti, pizza, fish n chips, sausage...
Oh my.. Those are all their food.
I dont even know how to cook nasi lemak.

Done

Assalammualaikum.
I managed to change my layout, again...
Haiz...
I'm sooo easily bored with the backgrounds..
This is really not good for me.
I dont know when will i change this one pulak..
