12th March 09
I took my SPM in 2006.
12th March 2007 was the date my SPM result being released.
Now, after 2 years, the date started to haunt me again.
Why?
Because my A Level Exam result is going to be released on 12th March 2009.
Anyway, i havent got time to post anything for this one week because i dont know what to post on. I didnt attend most of the orientation activities for this 2nd week. I dont like the obscene concerts and yes, i agree with one of my friend, Hanis. She said "we must have some limitations".
I have juz got back from Shah Alam, doing some work for the magazine.
I really cant wait for the magazine to be published!
It's gonna be awesome!
Thanks a bunch to the designers for that!
Lately, i have juz installed transformation pack for my pc, so now my pc look like a mac os pc.
Hehe...
I find it cool..
Maulidur Rasul
Today is a public holiday in Malaysia because today is 12 RabiulAwwal.
What is so special abt today? Well, today is the birthdate of our beloved prophet Muhammad pbuh.
I heard and read a lot of opinions on the celebration of this day.
Some say it's bida'ah. That is the "making up" of a festival which human say is compulsary when it is not. In short, a bida'ah is prohibited.
As for my own opinion, i'd think that there is nothing wrong with the celebration. As long as Muslims do not regard this celebration as compulsory. As long as Muslims do not think that they get hasanah@reward for celebrating this day. And as long as Muslims bear in mind that even if we did not celebrate this day, we wont be penalised.
Good muslims will always have Prophet Muhammad pbuh in their hearts.
But for some, and as for me as well, sometimes we are too excited with worldly matters that we forgot Allah's Messenger. Shame on me...
So, this celebration or perhaps better called remembrance is a way to remind us of this Messenger of Allah's. Out of all the Muslims that attend the talks, or any function for this event, undeniably not all will still have the same passion they had towards Prophet Muhammad pbuh during the celebration after a week. But surely at least one or two will maintain that passion and love. It's worth it, isn't it?

Miracle??
I got this from here.
I myself had not yet got the opportunity or determination to actually count the numbers of those words mentioned here appeared in the Quran. I believe in proving before believing. But i was very impressed with the numbers quoted here, i decided to post this on. However, i got this from the net and really hope it is the evidence to prove the numbers below.
__________________________________________________________________
Findings of Dr. Tariq Al Swaidan might grasp your attention:
Dr.Tarig Al Swaidan discovered some verses in the Holy Qur’an that mention one thing is equal to another,
i.e. men are equal to women.
Although this makes sense grammatically, the astonishing fact is that the number of
times the word man appears in Holy Qur’an is 24 and number of times the word
woman appears is also 24, therefore not only is this phrase correct in
the grammatical sense but also true mathematically, i.e. 24 = 24.
Upon further analysis of various verses, he discovered that this is consistent throughout the whole Holy Qur’an where it says one thing is like another.
See below for astonishing result of the words mentioned number of times in Arabic Holy Qur’an
Dunia (one name for life) 115 .
Aakhirat (one name for the life after this world) 115
Malaika (Angels) 88 . Shayteen (Satan) 88
Life 145 Death 145
Benefit 50 Corrupt 50
People 50 Messengers 50
Eblees (king of devils) 11 . Seek refuge from Eblees 11
Museebah (calamity) 75 . Thanks ! 75
Spending (Sadaqah) 73 . Satisfaction 73
People who are mislead 17 Dead people 17
Muslimeen 41 J Jihad 41
Gold 8 Easy life 8
Magic 60 Fitnah (dissuasion, misleading) ! 60
Zakat (Taxes Muslims pay to the poor) 32
Barakah (Increasing or blessings of wealth) 32
Mind 49 Noor 49
Tongue 25 Sermon 25
Desite 8 Fear 8
Speaking publicly 18 Publicising 18
Hardship 114 …. Patience 114
Muhammed 4 Sharee’ah (Muhammed’s teachings) 4
Man 24 . Woman 24
And amazingly enough have a look how many times the following words appear:
Salat 5, Month 12 , Day 365, (N.b. Gregorian callendar = 1582)
Sea 32, Land 13
Sea + land = 32 + 13 = 45
Sea = 32/45*100q.=71.11111111%
Land = 13/45*100 = 28.88888889%
Sea + land 100.00%
Modern science has only recently proven that the water covers
71.111% of the earth, while the land covers 28.889%.
Is this all a coincidence?
Question is "Who taught Prophet Muhammed(PBUH) all this?"
Reply automatically comes in mind ALMIGHTY ALLAH
taught him.
SubahanAllah.
Praise be to Allah

Outdoor Treasure Hunt
We were gathered in front of IMU lobby at 8am and each group were given a map of Bkt Jalil Park where our treasure hunt is. There were altogether 7 stations we need to go to. At the beginning of the treasure hunt, we feel nice, clean and fresh. It was like having a morning walk with friends. The only difference is we need to keep up with the time.
First Station
We were divided into 2. The first group needs to make up 2 of our members into geishas. We were given flour, and Buncho poster colour as cosmetics. Another group were brought somewhere else. I dont know what happened to them but they came back with one of the guy had his shirt taken off and words were written on his back. Scientific terms such as bacteria names etc. Our group won the make up match as our geisha look more like geisha than the other group's. However, the match did not start clean. The seniors rubbed some slimy things on our arms and faces. Luckily i wore long sleeve so they did not mess up with my sleeves so much as it will be harder to remove stains from fabric than skin. But they did put extra green poster colour make up to my face.
Second Station (and the worst)
This is a station conquered by Indian seniors. Some of them actually left IMU Bkt Jalil for IMU Clinical School in Seremban. But they came back here, just to rag us, new students. They prepared a pail of yet again slimy stuffs. Very very very smelly... It is mud colour, and concentrated. They asked the boys to take off their shirts, dip the shirts into the unknown chemical in the pail, squeeze it and wear the shirts back. Eeew!! All the boys smells awful that day. Those who did not wear the boot camp shirt they provided were asked to rub planta and paint on their own faces. Then we were asked to run 5 rounds of the compound, and duckwalk half a compound and run another half.
Then he asked us what is his name. His name is sooo long that until now i cant pronounce it properly. But i'm sure it ended with a 'Nair' on the back. Then he asked us to do a 'helicopter' action. I managed to get my little bro to re-act it for me to capture it on camera.
We were supposed to put our finger on the floor, and turn 5 times for girls and 15 times for boys. After 5 rounds, i got up and everything suddenly went dark and i collapsed onto the floor. The girls rushed to me to take me up from the floor. I lost my consciousness for 1 min (i think) and the senior who made us do that came to me and ask if i'm ok. But, seriously speaking, the way he asked whether i'm ok or not was very sincere and honest. Betuull... X tipu...
Which makes me realise that they just want to have fun with us without any intention of hurting us. Nasib baik....
Our OO (orientation officer) were being ragged as well. It seems our seniors are their juniors.
I left the station feeling very dizzy and tired, while the boys left the station with their very very very smelly shirts on them while some other left with green paint on their faces and planta on their hair. Again, i am very lucky that i wore tudung. My hair was very protected!
Third Station
Here, they asked us to pass salted fish from mouth to mouth. The fish wsa wrapped with paper on the edges and we stood in a line passing the fish from mouth to mouth. The fish was salty! Again, the seniors put eggs on us. Perhaps i look very different from others as i wore my tudung so, they did not actually target all the slimy thngs on me. Lucky!
Fourth Station
We were asked to play in a race that involves a member piggy-carrying another member, two members carrying another member and one more to run. Basically that's it. Not so dirty station.
Fifth Station
What did we do here?
Aaah yes...
We were asked to lie down in a line. 10 of us.
Then we were supposed to pass fruits from front to the bag using legs.
The last person will have to take the fruits and smash them into a cup.
Then, one last person will have to eat it all.
Yikes!
We lost in this race.
Sixth Station
Again, asked to line up and pass water balloons to our members.
One of us will throw the balloon to the person behind him@her and that person will have to catch the balloon using their shirts.
As the station is located on a hill, i managed to get a very beautiful scene of IMU. Yes, undeniably IMU looks very beautiful, and elegant.
Seventh Station (and the last)
This group was controlled by the First Aid Club.
They prepared a pail full of not-so-fresh chicken blood.
In the pail were coins of different values.
We were supposed to carry our member using the four-hand method (a first aid method of transporting casualties) to the pail and the member being carried will have to put his@her hand into the pail and take a coin out.
We must collect RM4.36 in order to win.
The rules are, we must not exceed the value of RM4.36.
If we decided to stop before we exceed it, it's ok. As long as the other group doesnt have a value nearer to RM4.36.
My group won this race.
Haha...
Alhamdulillah...
We were then gathered at the entrance, given nasi lemak and were asked to go back to IMU compound.
All in all, it was fun but tiring, dirty, slimy and wet.
What do i get from this activity?
Chance to be closer with my group members.
And see to what extent can medical students be rough and tough.
Eheh...
That's all for now.
It is 12.11 am 2nd March 2009.
I have a briefing on The History of Medicine later at 8am.
Need to sleep now.
Good night!
Salam..

Latest
Well, i successfully went for the indoor treasure hunt that night despite of tiredness and successfully make myself determined to go back half way through.
Hahaha...
27th Feb 09
That morning (27th Feb 09), we went to The Pavilion KL.
And we're supposed to take public transport i.e. trains, commuters etc
Due to lack of experience dealing with public transport, my group members had a hard time determining which station to head to. Lucky enough i am very familiar with public transport.
We reached The Pavilion, snapped some pictures in front of 3 different shops; MOF (a japanese ice cream shop), Forever 21 and Red Box Karaoke.
At 1.40pm, i left the group as i need to rush for something else at 3pm.
On my way back home, i saw a lot of Muslim men juz finished their Friday prayers. A scene I've always liked because it somehow reflected the ukhwah (relationship) Muslims have among themselves.
At 5pm, i finished my work and was really thinking hard whether or not to go for the indoor treasure hunt. I msg-ed Amanda (one of my group members) on when shd we gather and she asked whether i'm going or not. Thinking of how a nice girl she is, i decided to go for it. After all, i made some friends. But of course, my decision to go for the activity is also heavily influenced by somebody i regard as my mentor. Eheh..
The activity started with movie session. They made us watch Quarantine, to get us the feeling of being trapped inside IMU building, with zombies everywhere and we need to hunt for our treasure. All lights will be switched off for that purpose. I watched the movie for the first 40minutes (if i'm not mistaken) and there are already a lot of blood. I had always dislike hollywood horror movie as it is more violent than horror. Japanese or korean horror movies are a lot better because they are scary, but not violent.
[above and below] Group 3 was punished for not being able to answer a question asked by the senior. They need to dance to a Britney Spears song and the guys need to act seducing. Anybody spot Mukhlis 8M1 in the pic below? Well, he's there!
I was scared watching the movie (a fact i might not want to admit) but, even scared thinking that i need to drive back alone in the middle of the night. I went bac earlier during the wet ice breakers and i thought of doing the same thing tat night. But, they'll be swtiching all lights off! How am i going to my car alone? After discussing with Ain and Atikah, i decided to go back at 8pm. Even before the movie ended. Eheh..
The next day, i found out that they finished the treasure hunt at almost 12pm.
Lucky me!
There will be another post on my experience during the outdoor treasure hunt. The dirtiest, slimiest, smelliest, worst orientation i had ever experience.
I even fainted!
Eheh...
Will find time to write on it.
Perhaps later today...
Salam...

The Thing Is That....
Ok, now I figured out the differences between INTEC and IMU.
After 4 days of watching, i know now.
I have been with government people for my whole life till 4 days back.
I AM NOT TALKING ABT POLITICS. GOVERNMENT PPL HERE DOESNT MEAN PRO-GOVT i.e. UMNO OR MCA ETC.
Because this is a private education centre.
I had a weird unexplainable feeling during my first few days.
Now the feeling is explainable.
One word, intimidated.
Well yes, perhaps it is embarrassing to admit but as I always like to say, (Atikah will know this) "Honesty is the best".
So yes, i'm intimidated.
Simply because of the fact that most of the students are there because they PAY.
PAY with their parents money.
Which means they are well off people.
And i am there because of a scholarship by the government.
And that is what differs IMU from INTEC.
Back in INTEC, all of us are schlarship holders.
Nothing differentiates us.
Except maybe some of us are more well off than some.
But that was such a small issue.
Somehow i felt like the issue had successfully amplified itself here in IMU.
But i'm pretty sure i'll be able to get rid of this feeling soon, real soon perhaps.
So, i must always remember:
"Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and, above all, confidence in ourselves. We must believe we are gifted for something and that this thing, at whatever cost, must be attained" -Marie Curie
"I am there for a reason with a mission. So I should prove that I worth the reason and is able to accomplish the mission"
Ok, enough of boosting my confidence.
Though i really feel like doing more.
Eheh...
Back in INTEC, I always wear my Free Palestine badge.
Somehow, i did not have the courage to do so in IMU.
I'm afraid of the people's reaction towards it.
Muslims are the minority here.
So I did not even once wore the badge in IMU until today, an exhibition caught my attention.
The exhibition was at the lobby.
It was on the attack on Gaza.
I felt so proud and surprised that there is actually an exhibition on it?
I felt bad at once for thinking that IMU students were ignorant about the attack.
Just how shallow minded i was.
I went back home for lunch today, and I wore my badge for the first time in IMU.
Now
It is 1.00am 27th Feb 09.
The story i told in this post is now literally a yesterday's story.
I need to meet my group members at Bkt Jalil at 10am.
So i dont actually need to wake up early, which was the reason i woke up from bed to write this.
Today
Later today we'll have to go to The Pavilion, KL to complete yet another challenge for the orientation week.
We need to snap 3 pictures of our group members, the whole lot of it in front of 3 different specified shops in The Pavilion.
Then we'll have Indoor Treasure Hunt at 5.30pm, which i feel like not going.
p/s: To Atikah, Ain and Fatin. I really really miss you guys!!

The Ice Breakers
Well, I arrived home at around 10.40pm last night, wet, slimy and dirty plus, tired.
So, wasnt able to update. Hehe...
Anyways, yesterday was a FUN but a MEANINGLESS FUN. Why? Will talk abt it later.
Well, the climax of the day was the ice breakers activity. Ice breakers? For 19years, i always hear ice breaking. Ok, never mind that.
We were first gathered at the Lecture Theatre and been shown a short movie, IMU Orientation Committee produced movie. For me, it was an excellent one. It was the continuity of the first movie we were shown.
Then we were brought to the Chancellor Hall which is a big hall located at the uppermost floor, 4th floor. We played a few games there, which the seniors called "the dry icebreakers".
We were then instructed to go to the basement carpark for a "wet icebreakers". The condition of the basement that time surprises me. With very few cars, wet and dirty floor with some already-dirty seniors playing water amng themselves. They divided the basement into a few sections@stations using rope tied to the pillars. We were lined up in groups and were given a list with the stations we were supposed to visit and do whatever the seniors there asked us to.
My group's first station required us to tie 3 of our members leg-to-leg. The middle one should be facing backward. Get the picture of it? So, the group need to send 3 triplets for the game and i'm one of them. Frankly speaking, i didnt know what i'm supposed to do, i was the middle one so they asked me to face backward. Then i got the hang of it when one of the seniors started to tie my leg to my friend's leg. A boy.
I stopped the senior and pleaded to change with another group member. I don't want to be tied with a guy. Eew! So, i changed and become the middle person of the next triplet. The 3 of us were supposed to walk towards the end of the station, grabbed the scissors and ran back to let another triplet move. The florr was very very slippery. We almost fell on our way to the scissors. And while running back o our team members after cutting the rope on our legs, i fell down. Really really fell down as i lost my balance, control and grip on the floor. The members dragged me to the side so that the other triplets can start moving. So yes, i started my ice breakers with a fall. Before that, one of the seniors put on some thing on my face. Very slimy. But i dont know what is it. It looks like peanut butter, but i did not and will not taste it to prove my hypothesis.
We visited a few more stations and i fell once again. Shampoos, hair conditioners, oil, flour, water, were everywhere. The seniors simply rubbed on unknown stuffs on our faces, clothes, basically anywhere. I'm very glad that i wore a hijab. At least my hair is very very protected from all that slimy things.
The activity was supposed to end at 10pm but at 10pm they were going to start a new game. So i asked the OO (Orientation Officer) of my group if i could go back early as i have to drive back. Most of the students are residing at the condos there. So he excused me and i went bac home much earlier than other students.
Fun But Meaningless?
Why is that so?
Well obviously, the seniors are having fun poring, rubbing, spraying unknown stuffs to our faces, clothes and all, but when i was in the middle there, took a few minutes to ponder, i realised that all the fun they were having were meaningless. U dont get anything out of that fun.
From my eye as an observer, they were all laughing, hugging each other (literally), enjoying themselves but then i asked myself a question, "after this?".
Practically, we didnt get any benefit of it. We may say we are able to get to know ourselves better. Well, i believe there are a lot other ways to get to know ourselves. One that does not involves hugging each other of not the same sex perhaps?

Second Day
Am i really going to keep posting 3rd day, 4th day, 5th day and so on?
Hurm...
Ntah la, dunno yet.
Anyways, the orientation week started today.
The gimmick was interesting.
The committee started off with a short movie they produced themselves.
The movie was about a virus being accidentally let out into IMU and the virus are actually going to contaminate the auditoriums (we were in the auditorium at that time) and they were trying to scare us etc etc. We cant help but laugh though we know that we're supposed to be scared.
It was creative. That's all i can say about the movie.
Moving on, we had our orientation grouping and i was lucky that my Head of Orientation Group i.e. the senior in charge of my group was an INTEC student, Johnson. I know him as he participated a lot in debates under MINDS club. But he doesnt know me. Ok fine, not so much an insult. I wasnt the type that goes and tell everyone who i am.
Our group members were at first very quiet, and shy.
We started to communicate better with each other during lunch hour.
Whatever it is, most of my group members are staying near IMU i.e. the Vista Condos. So they'll be meeting tonight at 7pm. I'm not sure whether i can make it as i'm staying at home, a 20minutes drive, and i'll need to be back home by 10.30pm the latest.
We are supposed to bild our mascott tonight and based on my previous experiences, this type of group work will take a very long time.
What else will i want to talk about here?
Oh yah... Ragging!
That's gonna come under one subheader of itself.
Ragging
As we were having our group discussion in a small room, some Indian boys knocked on our door.
The only indian boy in my group went out, so I was like...
After some time, my Indian group mate came back and he said,
So we squeaked, "Is that true?" And he said, "See, i lost my necktie!"
Ooh.. Yes.. His necktie is no longer there. Those bully took it away. Then he was called out again. When he came back we asked what they did to him. He said he proposed two girls and was rejected. Hahaha...
Luckily he wasnt being bullied physically. Just some challeinging stuffs. Pity him.
Anyways, that is all about ragging for today.
I might be able to see or perhaps experience more tomorrow.
Eee...
Ok la, that's all..
Salam.
p/s: My mum said the condensed milk we are consuming now is not actually condensed milk anymore. Take a look at the ingredients and you will realise that it's actually made up mostly of palm oil. So she said, "We've been drinking palm oil all this while"
Now she came up with the idea of self-do-condensed-milk. I'm not sure how she did it but it seems she blended fresh milk with a lot sugar to make our own version for condensed milk @ sweetened milk. And it works just fine with coffee. It's just that i can still taste the milk taste. Haha...
